Default Re: Factory Fogs on '06 are easy

It's so easy, even your Mom could do it.
If you look on the back of the light you see that the inboard end has a white square plastic plug attached with a screw, and the ouboard end has a wide tab.
Just pop the black plastic plugs out of the front facia openings, by pushing them from the rear, and put the outboard end in first, (from the front) then push the inboard ends into position so that they line up with the square opening for that plug.
You will notice that the plug has spring like ears on it that should pop out and lock the lamp assembly in place.
DO NOT USE a 16 pound sledge hammer to help seat these fasteners !
I watched a 105 lb woman install these all by herself, and if she can do it, so can you.
BTW the outboard tab fits into it's own slot, so take care in making sure it is positioned correctly first.
I think when you get under the car, with a little extra light, and start looking at the opening, you will see that it is as simple as flicking the light switch on at home.
Toyota really did design this install to be too easy.
That's the scary part.
