I've heard about the same. Actually it gets fairly similar FE as a Highlander V6 AWD with the 7 seater package.
I'm a bit concerned about the FE on the van as well.
Oh, well.. I won't be on the market for another 12 months, so.. here's to hoping for a Hybrid drivetrain.
