Default Re: Solara Questions - ASK ME!

Help!

New To This Site & Not Sure I Know How Or Where To Post Question(s) On This Site, But Here Goes:

2001 Solara Sle V-6. 59,500 Miles. Bought The Car At 50,000 Miles. Every Time I Start It It Goes Right To 1600-1700 Rpm. Will Stay There For A Good 8-10 Minutes, If I Had The Patience To Sit There & Burn Gas. Even In 60+ Degree Weather. Galls Me To Put It In Reverse At Such High Rpm's. I Expect The Auto Trans To Blow Up Any Day. Dealer People Hem & Haw "this Is Probably Normal". Is It???

Also, Was Worried About Braking Ability (lots Of Foot Pressure-slow To Stop). Again, Dealer People Drove It Said Brakes Fine. Felt A Small Ridge In Lf Rotor, Had Them Turn Front Rotors & New Pads. Stops Much Better With Less Pedal Pressure, But Pedal Travel Seems Excessive Before Brakes Start To Hold. This Normal? My First Vehicle With Abs.

Any Help/suggestions Greatlyappreciated!
