It's slowly getting better back at the beach. New Hotels/Restaurants/Etc open. It looks like most of the debris has been collected... Destroyed buildings demolished & carted away... but it will be years before the actual beach has recovered.
I've avoided going down there the past 2 1/2 yrs because the place was such a mess that it reminded me of the storm.
I had 18" of storm surge roll through my house & lost my roof.Almost all of our belongings were destroyed. We were fortunate, a lot of people in my area lost everything.I don't want to go through rebuilding ever again. That's why there's a "For Sale" sign in the front yard, We're moving back to Arizona as soon as this place gets sold.
