Hi, I'm new here so please bear with me!
I have a 1999 Toyota Solara SLE and I'm taking the car to Africa to use while on assignment. I intend to sell it overthere when the assignment is over. Anywy, due to the extreme heat in Africa I'd like to install a remote starter so the car can be nice and cool before driving each day. Question is: what brand of remote starter w/alarm would you recommend, any extras needed for the immobilizer, how reliable are remote starters on '99 Solara's , and how difficult is it to disable remote starters if something goes wrong? I'd hate to have to rely on mechanics over there to troubleshoot gadgets they're not familiar with. Thanks everyone!
