One option is getting the spray-in bed
liner which would add weight to the bed. The other option is that toyota sells a "waterbed" which lays in the back and adds 400# to the bed. I would not do this though.
Also, Californias are notorious for moving away. They invaded Colo, and will continue invading until all of america loses their conservatism.
