Are you 100% sure about that? I have read several different places that this is not the case and that you can reprogram keys to different vehicles.

In fact, I have confirmed this with my local dealer. You can use a key that has been programmed to another vehicle. However, you will have to have a new key blank cut to be able to use the emergency key to enter your vehicle in the event that the battery in your SKS fob is dead.
