In fact, I have confirmed this with my local dealer. You can use a key that has been programmed to another vehicle. However, you will have to have a new key blank cut to be able to use the emergency key to enter your vehicle in the event that the battery in your SKS fob is dead.

M factory rep says it can not be done.
I programmed a BRAND NEW KEY to a prius so the customer could have 3 masters, and something happend in the car deal, so he ended up not getting the key and some other stuff.
We needed a Master for another customer who lost ther keys and the previous key I had progrmmed to the other vehicle WOULD NOT program to the 2nd Prius, Thats when I called TAS (Toyota support and my factory rep)they both said the same thing. ONCE PROGRAMMED to vehicle "A", it can no be programmed to vehicle "B". I am talking about the "SMART KEY" only vehicle.
I'll experiment on my parents prius, next oil change, and see if I can program their key to another prius.
