Re: Longo Toyota Service Department
I feel the same way about Longo. I took my Highlander there for an oil change, as I have since the vehicle was new. Three days later the check engine light illuminated. I went to my local Auto Zone and borrowed a code reader. The numbers showed a problem with the evaporative emissions sustem. I recorded the number and did a search on TS. Fortunately it is a common problem. Apparently when the air filter is checked, a vacuum tube can be dislodged. I checked the air filter housing and sure enough, a tube was not attached. I reattached the tube and reset the light. No more problems. I called Longo service department and asked to speak with a service manager. After a few minutes, someone identifying himself as a service manager answered. I explained the situation to him, and he told me to bring the vehicle in so they could check it. I told him that I had already fixed the problem, but wanted them to know about the situation. He did not seem to be the least bit interested, other than to tell me to bring the Highlander in for them to check it out. That was the last time that I will spend any money at Longo Toyota.
