As for TW F21 protectant you are exactly correct as I have found out - the instrument panel on the drivers side is wasted. I got about 85% of the stuff off and the rest just will not come off. I got to the edge and then noticed on the sides the satin finish was coming off leaving the bare black plastic shining through.
The remainder is simply just "baked on and faded" apparently by the sun and isn't coming off. it may just wear off eventually I bought some McQuires interior cleaner.... tried that didn't touch it. Can not find Simple Green Pro around here... I even tried using the TW Protectant again lightly hoping it would losed itself up and then tried cleaning the area again..... but to no avail.
I am afraid the upper door panel on all four doors and the right hand side of the interior may do the same thing. I cleaned those areas as much as possible and hopefully most of this so called protectant is off.
Years ago I used something in a Mazda truck called ClearGuard. It was made by 3M I believe. I loved that stuff. Dust wouldn't even cling to the dash.
Saw some Armor All gel this morning almost got and tried that. but at this point I want to file a claim with Turtle Wax and see how far I can get. The dealer looks at this and I tell them what happened they are going to decline a repair for sure I know.
But why the other parts of the panel I applied this to didn't exhibit any problems I have no idea. I did nothing different in applying to this areas
One of those mysteries I guess, I am sick about it. Just put 2000 miles on the truck..... I installed the high end ZeeDee tube steps, TRD seat covers, snone deflector and got the heavy duty all weather mats. put in an audio jack, mps3 player and and was just gettign the truck to the precise point I wanted it. I twas looking good LOL!
I'll post up the experience I have with Turtle Wax. I think they may cooperate. This product they put out sure surprised me. It;s awful.
