Default Re: Seven Wonders of the World

The 1000+ yr. old wooden temples in Japan are amazing. I saw Chichen Itza on the equinox when shadows align, also amazing. Some of these wonders are testaments to the power of oppression by dictators, or kings over subjects and slaves, like the Giza pyramids, and Great Wall. Still, they stand as memorials to the suffering of those who built them. The Great Wall gets my top vote, with Timbuktu 2nd for its early university, and for the best name.
