well i brought my truck again to longo last sat morning to talk to the manager like they said i needed to ... and when i did he told me that other cars in the USED car section had yellow engine harness problems .. and i had nothing to worry about ... i replied back to him ... i brought a new truck in for service her not a used car. (my truck had 275 miles when it was serviced ) then he told me he didnt have the authorization to say yes to fix my truck. that upset me because the whole reason i brought it in at 7am on a sat. is because i needed a manager to authorize the repair .. so he said i had to wait till monday or tuesday to get it approved
they did finally get my gas door painted properly this morning .. only took 2 months
TODAY:
Mark (service manager) called me today and said they approved repair and they are changing my engine harness, brake master cylnder and breather hose after getting off the phone with him i was wondering how much the harness would cost so i called another toyota dealer and asked .. they said the harness would be about $2475.00 yikes! no wonder they didnt want to approve the repair i didnt bother asking how much the master cylnder and the hose cost because i can tell this repair is going to cost about $3200-$3500 by time labor is factored in
and htey offered to paint the underside of my hood if i wanted them to but i said no because i might be able to remove the discoloration with some rubbing compound and it would look better like that then repainting the hood
i will be happy once this is all over and i will never use longo's service again
