I realize I should, and know they are easy to steal, but to have to use a key everytime I open the gate is hard to deal with. I don't even have to do that to get in the cab!
Can't they just design some kind of system that secures the gate to the truck and still allows it to open? I have never taken the tailgate off of any of my trucks, but open and close them all the time!
I know some people do, but is it really so frequent that they have to make it a no-tools, 30 second operation? That has always been a bit of a mystery to me. It's kind of like putting a quick release on the step bumper and wondering why so many turn up missing...
