Default Re: Anyone using Mich LTX tires?

I too have recently shopped the X-terrains and LTX's.

My research shows the X-terrain the Better Tire for the HL. On the OE 16 inch rims at least. The tread wear difference is insignificant to the better ride quality and traction of the X-terrain. X terrian is warranted for 65k miles or 6 years.
It carries Michelins own best standard warranty .
LTX's appears to be the lower end tire for sure. Or at least a notch down.

Reviews and ratings combined overall indicate this as well.

Just got a quote of $135 each mounted and balanced for raised black lettering on the Cross-terrains. And these will be the 235/70-16's (one size up over the OE 225's).
I will order 4 this week for my moms 04 H/L.

BTW, Her OE Toyo Transpath A11's were literally junk at about 12k miles.

On a side note...I find it strange that these original Toyos are only available in one size(225/70-16). Not that I would recommend this tire as a replacement to anyone.
Were they only made and spec'd for the Toyota HL???
