After a very unfortunate meeting of many bumpers on June 5th, my Pride & Joy 2002 LTD was declared "totaled" by the insurance company.
Fortunately no one was hurt in the 5-vehicle sandwich.

After a thorough search of replacement candidates, a 2003 LTD Bluestone Metallic was secured today without too much boot. In brief, only a $700 difference for one model year newer and 15k fewer miles on the clock + nearly new Goodyear Forteras all around.

I'm looking forward to applying a few tweaks here and there to make it feel like home, but all in all I think I came out OK on this one. I'm hoping that this new rig is as trouble free as its predecessor.
