I would have gotten a double cab or crew max, however I realized that I never carry more than one other person in my car. I had a 06 Tacoma double cab, and I never had passengers. The only exception is when I went out with friends on the weekend, and usually the one who has the biggest ride ends up driving everyone, so I got tired of being the designated driver everytime. It did not matter if I actually drove or not, because we would end up taking my Tacoma.

Also, before I bought the Tundra, I had to measure out whether it would fit in my garage. After strategically moving some boxes, I was able to get it into the garage with about 4 inches to spare front and back. Just enough to get past the Tundra to the 2nd fridge in the garage to get some additional beers.

There is actually alot of space behind the front seats of a reg cab. I am able to get at least 2-3 suitcases in there and in a pinch 2 additional folks can ride in that area.

A couple days ago, I had to give my niece a ride to the mechanic to pick up her car and she did not know I had purchased the Tundra. Thinking I had the Tacoma double cab, she invited 2 of her friends along. I ended up putting them behind the front seats for the short ride. Not ideal but in a pinch possible. It is just uncomfortable enough to convince folks that I should not be giving everyone a ride and they opt for the friend who has a 4Runner or Accord, etc.
