If I drive my truck that fast with empty bed, it will bounce or shake. I have dips and speed bumps here where I live. When I drive 5 MPH on these, the bed bounces. These are preety agreesive speed bumps. I haven't tried driving through them with the bed loaded like for example 300 lbs. The bed was designed to move to isolate the vibrations from the load to the cab. If there are no movement, every vibes will be transferred to the cab. Not gonna be a good ride. On the 18 wheelers, it's the opposite. The cab is meant to move, while the load sits securely to the frame by 5th wheel. This is not a problem, unless you are planning to do a Baja Race. In that case, you have to tune your suspension for that kind of driving. I suggest going the dealership and try driving one over bumps so you can see and feel it for yourself
