In my honest opinion- it drives me nuts. The problem for me is that I had a avic d2 (matte finish) in my old truck and instead of taking it out, I replaced it with the d3 because of the piano finish and customizeable colors. I wanted it to look stock. Now I have piano on matte on piano in the middle of silver black and orange.

Though this kit does match the dash above it decently, it looks crazy comapared to the A/C controls. I will be purchasing a piano finish kit as soon as I find one.

On the other hand, I took my wife out to show her the work when I finished and she said it looks great. I said "Well, what about it not matching?" She still couldn't see anything wrong with it and she would have never noticed. I think it looks good as an aftermarket install, but it does not look like an OEM part.
