first off, lemme say that despite some commentary to the contrary, the bed bounce issue is real. i'm talking bone-jarring, kidney-whacking vibrations when driving over those ridged portions on freeways. i dunno what it's called, but it's those freeway sections where they cut grooves into the road. i have a 5.7L double cab with the offroad package and the bounce is REALLY bad. after about a minute, it actually hurts my kidneys!
anyway, i got an extang trifecta
tonneau cover and noticed the other day that the bounce was significantly reduced. i don't understand it, can't see why it would help, but it seems to. i don't drive on grooved freeways that often so don't take this as a be-all and end-all solution - but on my short trip the other day, i did notice a huge difference. it's actually tolerable now.
maybe it was random, maybe just dumb luck. too soon to tell and draw any pseudo-scientific conclusion, but i thought i'd toss it out here...anyone else notice this?
