Yep, the Ford and Dodge diesels are the same way. I know the 07 6.7L Cummins meets emmissions for 2010 already. When comparing a gas and diesel engine of similar size, the gas engine STILL looses pretty bad in both power and efficiency. This months 'Diesel Power' magazine has a good artilce comparing the Ford V-10 Superduty with a Powerstroke Superduty and the gas engine gets killed in all respects.

The gas engines have closed the gap some, thanks entirely to the EPA, but they still have a way to go to compare to diesels.
