I hear ya there. I own a diesel already, but if I were looking to buy a vehicle that spent most if it's time towing it would be a diesel no doubt.

The old Powerstrokes are pretty good, much better than the 6.0. IMO, the best diesel truck ever made was the 97-98 (not the 98.5) Dodge with the 12 valve Cummins. They can pull a house, they last forever AND the get 20-21 mpg. These trucks are actually going up in value if in good condition. There are several around here for 4-6K over high retail. To me, that's pretty impressive for a 10 yr old pickup truck. I sure wouldn't turn down an 01 or 02 Powerstroke either if you could find a good one.
