i email toyota recently consairning the recall issue cause i am not from the state i am from the united arab emirates and the waranty wont cover our area so i wantede to know which production date is the defect is in to know wich cars to buy for me and frineds up here the replied the following

Re: 2007 Tundra 5.7 Liter Engine Camshaft
To date we have received approximately 20 warranty cases. This is out of approximately 30,000 5.7 liter engines sold thus far, plus those in dealer stock. However, the problem was discovered and corrected very early and we are confident in the action that was taken. Therefore the number of camshafts in question is very low, and would not affect all vehicles sold. Our continuing investigation is aimed at isolating these if at all possible.
We do not plan to do a service campaign at this time. However; our analysis is still under way and we will make a final determination when it is concluded.
Please note: there have been no reported cases of accidents related to this condition.
