I am with GEICO .. they are OK. The warranty has to be purchased within approx. first 12K miles or 12 mos or close to that.

Now, it is cheap by other standards, about $25.00/every 6 months = $50.00/yr.

However, Toyota factory is 3 yr/36k and 5 yr/50k on engine, trans and drive train .. I think I am correct on this.

So, GEICO makes some $$$ up front with no exposure ... but they could take at big hit on a tranny after 50k miles all the way up to 100k miles and from 5 yrs to 7 yrs.

And on smaller items in the 3 yr/36k section.

And the GEICO deductible is $250.00 ... so you pay for minor stuff and they pay for the big stuff.

A computer for this truck is megs bucks .. much less an engine or tranny.

I don't believe in extended warranties ... but this is much cheaper and may be a good idea on this (first year model) truck ... lol ...
