Re: Ants!! AHHHHH!!!
.
Several years ago I picked up about 30 or 40 bags of black cypress feather mulch.
Little did I know that .. "Fire Ants" .. had built nests in several of the bags of mulch.
FYI ... Fire ants .. bite like h*ll .. and love that black mulch because it holds heat in from the sun.
Anyway ... that was on a weekend and I did not have time to unload the truck until that next week.
Oh ... I forgot that I had a couple of Hershey bars in the glove box (now, melted in their wrappers).
Well .. the "Fire Ants" zeroooed in on that wrapped candy and they were everywhere in that access cab.
Had to unload the bed with gloves and spray it and I still got bitten several times.
Then removed the candy from the cab and the ants left or died from the heat in the cab. I did spray all around the cab to kill the ones that left the cab.
Can't bug spray inside the cab due to strong bug poison residue getting into vents and interior.
It was a huge mess that I will never forget.
