Then removed the candy from the cab and the ants left or died from the heat in the cab. I did spray all around the cab to kill the ones that left the cab.

Can't bug spray inside the cab due to strong bug poison residue getting into vents and interior.

It was a huge mess that I will never forget.

There was a story going around that said some of the cleanup efforts in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina involved cutting up downed trees, and making them into mulch. And taking fire ants with them. The mulch was supposedly sold in Lowe's and Home Depot stores all over the country.
