I think I remember reading about someone in the same situation who took his truck to a paint shop where they put it in a painting booth and heated it up to whatever temp they use to cure the paint for about 4 hours. Apparently the little critters can't deal with the sustained high temps and they get cooked and the problem is solved.
Of course I believe everything I read... but if you get desperate, it might be worth a shot. Good luck.
