An exterminator told me that Terro is sweet so that the ants will be attacted to it. The ant(s) will find the Terro, take it home where his ant friends will clean him off,ingest the poison & die. Meanwhile more ants will back track to the Terro, find the poison, bring it home, yada yada yada....
Anyways, Terro works. I'd put it on something disposable in order to avoid a sticky mess later.
