I don't pay much attention to the break-in proceedures in the manual. I baby it for the first 200 miles, then, gradually start increasing the amount of throttle that I feed in on accelleration and the same for the RPMS. After 500 miles, I'll give it brief bursts of WOT. After a 1000 miles, I play as I want! The 4.7 I had in the Tundra continued to show an increase in throttle response up to about 5000 miles. But I can already tell that this engine is SWEET & the 5 speed tranny is going to add a lot to the overall performance.
