On the video feed, is the power switched? If not I assume the camera stays on whenever the truck is on? I believe factory design is to have the camera on in reverse only. I would be afraid of the camera burning out after prolonged use. |
Yes, I have the camera on ignition switched power. These little CCD cameras can run 24/7 so keeping it powered while the truck is running is not a concern.
As for the holes - its gotta be done. Mag bases scratch and their cables vibrating in the wind wear out the paint. On-glass sucks. Permanent mounts look better and work better.
