I was supposed to get a bug shield as a gift from the dealer when I got my Tundra on June 15th, Parts guy said that all toyota bug shields had been recalled because of a problem with rubbing against the area where it is installed. They are undergoing a redesign , expected to be out into the market sometime in Aug. I took my vehicle for an oil change (1100miles) yesterday, brought my own oil of course (0W-20) which I got on sale for $5.25 Qt. I also checked on the bug shield and it still is not ready. Also learned that Toyota is working on a Fog Light kit. You can have them installed now but everything is so called ala carte. This ends up costing you between $800-$900. The kits should be around $400 including the OE rotary switch with the headlight switch. This info comes from the parts manager at the local dealership not from the dealership where I bough my vehicle, although the manager down there said that as far as he knew it was in the works, especially since the Southeast toyota people are in the business of making money and they will not let after market people steal their profits. Anyway that's the latest that I got yesterday..........
