Default Re: 2007 6 speed transmission failures

Just picked my truck up and I honestly can't tell any difference in the way it drives now with the new tranny vs. the old one. Every time I take off from a stop there is an initial clunk that you can feel plain as day which the dealer admitted they still feel but they say its normal. I test drove several 07 4x4 5.7L tundras and felt this on a couple including mine but didn't feel it on one. I'm almost at a loss, maybe it is normal but it sure is annoying. Now i don't even know why they replaced the tranny because it acts the same now as it did before. I did notice on the paper work it said REMAN ATM installed and almost had a cow but service and parts assured me thats how they tagged in the system and toyota uses reman cases but all new internals. I hope that isn't a bunch of BS.

And by the way, their only explanation for replacing the tranny was "due to a failed torque converter".
