The key to the process is creating an ISO image first using ImgBurn. This avoids the whole ISO/UDP problems with files larger than 2gb.

No, what I mean is that you must first burn
AN EXACT COPY OF THE NAV DISC w/o making a single change to it. Simply select 'copy disc' using your burning software and mirror image the factory disc.
This way you make sure your media, burner & software will all jive with your factory deck. If you can't burn an exact copy and make it work don't even proceed to trying to modify the original image and make it work because it won't. If you're able to get the exact copy to play (make sure you disconnect your negative battery to force a reload of the disc) then you can proceed to the process of modifying your files to get the new (read: old) kiwi file to work.
