If the vehicle could gain even 1 mpg using the higher octane, you can bet Toyota would have done it that way so their MPG numbers would be higher. Can you even imagine that it would get 3 mpg better? They abosulelty would love to have a 19 city and 23 highway rating out of their 381hp 1/2 ton. 87 octane period.
