Default Air changes to "fresh air" every 3 mins

Before I get flamed for not doing a search...I already did. I found the following thread:

Recycle vs. fresh air

...which is similar, but not completely. I have an SR5, without that fancy auto-air. Here's my problem:

I've noticed that my air will not stay on "recirculating". It switches to "fresh air" automatically every 3 minutes. Below are my findings from the trip into work today:

1) Air set to recirculate, ADJUSTED the temperature 2 mins into it. 19 minutes later, it automatically switched to "fresh air"

2) Air set to recirculate, NEVER adjusted the temperature. 3 minutes later, it automatically switched to "fresh air".

3) Air set to recirculate, NEVER adjusted the temperature. 3 minutes later, it automatically switched to "fresh air".

4) Air set to recirculate, NEVER adjusted the temperature. 3 minutes later, it automatically switched to "fresh air".

5) Air set to recirculate, NEVER adjusted the temperature. 3 minutes later, it automatically switched to "fresh air".

6) Air set to recirculate, NEVER adjusted the temperature. 3 minutes later, it automatically switched to "fresh air".

7) Air set to recirculate, ADJUSTED the temperature 2 mins into it. 20 minutes later, it automatically switched to "fresh air"

In summary, if I never touched the temperature knob...it always switched to "fresh air" within 3 minutes. If I messed with the temperature, I could get ~20 minutes of recirculating air before it switched.

Is anyone else having this very annoying problem? Can this type of thing be programmed by the dealer?

Thanks in advance,
Gary
