Buzuardo... can you tell us dates of service. You said in on Tues. out on Thurs. Just trying to timeline the service and mfg. of new transmission. I took mine in for first transmission replacement on 2 Oct. The reman transmission arrived on Wed. 3 Oct. and I got the truck back on Mon. 8 Oct. Still rumbling. I took it back in on 9 Oct. The dealer ordered new tranny and as of Friday. 12 Oct still don't have new one delivered. Also, curious to know if your service paperwork indicates reman ATM under parts Description. Seems to me if it was new then it would not say reman like mine does. Especially if Slackjaw is correct.
I am glad to hear of successes others have had but am still a bit aprehensive until I get mine back.
This past week - Oct. 9 & 11. The service manager told me the receipt would say Reman. but in fact was new (I hadn't even asked the question) - shipped direct off the line in SA. He went out of his way to be informative and helpful and I don't doubt his word, it really wasn't in question, but he made sure I was informed. I believe he is doing as Toyota has asked in wanting a proper followup on the success or failure of this new build and if it solves the problem.
