Wow, those are two questions I definitely am not qualified to answer. However, I would not be concerned because I think most of us who have had the rumble problem had it immediately. In my case 2nd day of ownership with less than 100 miles on the ODO. FYI, just so you can know how I could duplicate my issue every time:
1. Drive down HWY at normal HWY speed for a few minutes and come to a stop (light or stop sign).
2. Easy on the acceleration (this is key) to get going again ensuring you keep the rpm's at around 1100-1300, and during the 34-38 mph shiftpoint it would feel like running over a rumble strip.
I also tried it where I accelerated through the 34-38 mph shift point at around 1800-2000 rpm and it would not do it at all. I know some will say well drive the truck a little harder... and that is fine except when you are in traffic. Also, now with my new tranny it is good at any rpm range. OBTW, my truck was 8/07 Indiana build.
