the P0171 is a joke. I got it at just over 100,000 miles. didn't do anything for 3 years and another 100,000+ miles. eventually the light stopped coming on probably because it burnt out. now at 300,000 I've never replaced the O2 sensor or anything because of the light, still getting 40+ mpg.
