Re: G2 Bakflip installed on Crewmax w/pics and small review
I also had mixed feeling when I first was deciding on what to get but this unit fits what I wanted in looks and function so I took that chance. Also remember this is the newer Version G2 not the older one were there was alot of complaints of the rubber molding falling off. I was going to say nothing is 100% water tight as stated here but from what it looks like it should do pretty good. Well unless you use a power washer on it then water will probably get under the edges but then again rain and car washing I think you will be fine. I have yet to do a hose test myself yet since I have not washed the truck since I installed it or have we had any rain yet. I will say looking at the edges and seals on there it should do well except maybe were the tailgate meets the truck bed but thats not cause of the cover thats the way the truck has a gap back there but I think most of the water will go pass without going into the bed of the truck. I guess you could get a rubber seal to help that if you wanted it more water tight back there.
