Right. Anyway, as soon as I found out that the '08 Tundras needed to have the skid plate removed in order to get at the oil filter for routine oil changing, that one thing alone told me that this vehicle was not well planned or executed and not up to previous Toyota standards. So I'm not surprised, except for the 2WD getting such a high rating. I'll have to agree with people here that that is rather puzzling.

Consumer reports is the most objective information source we have available - certainly much more reliable than the car dealers and Toyota zealots on this forum.
