StealthZ, your experience is exactly why I want a new tranny pulled off the assembly line and installed in my truck. The dealer offered to install a reman. transmission, but I turned it down and opened up a case through the Toyota Customer Care department. Received a return call from Salvador, whom many have referenced on this site, and he offered me a complimentary 7-year 100k warranty to help restore my confidence in Toyota. I thanked him for the olive branch, but still insisted to receive a NEW tranny, especially if the trannies as of 10/1 have been fixed at the factory. He said he would do some checking and get back to me tomorrow. I bought this truck assuming 200K miles easy, so I am not comfortable with a reman. tranny even with the 100k warranty.
