I was just going to wait for the fix, and the guy called up last week and said my new transmission and torque converter will be in today. Wife is taking it over there right now for the work.
I have to say, any of the big three would never volunteer a transmission swap without a big fight.

One of the big 3 just issued a tsb to have customers replace their seat covers, because the new ones "attract too much lint". Get your facts straight.
