after fiddling with it for days, I've come to the conclusion that it may not be possible to watch dvds on the nav screen while the car is in motion. The results have been variable, but from what I can see, it may not work. Right now, i've simply got the speed sensor disconnected. When I am at a full stop, the screen works, but as soon as I drive the car at all, the screen disappears. At one point, I was able to get the screen to show while driving for a few miles. But then it would disappear.
