The new Tundra is build on the same platform as the 2008 Sequoia. Does this make our Tundras' tall cars?

Yeah your correct. I did some reading and it starts its life as a Odyssey/Pilot frame and it was altered with crossbeams under the frame.
"The midsize Ridgeline is Honda’s first pickup truck and is based on a car-like unibody structure that it shares with the Pilot SUV and Odyssey minivan. This gives it superior driving dynamics on the road yet still allows a maximum tow rating of 5,000 pounds thanks to the addition of robust crossbeams to the frame." - Forbes
I am glad that you found the truck/car/suv/hybrid/thingy that suits you better. And am unhappy you had a bad experience with your Tundra. I was just saying that it rides and handles better because it was built on a frame that is less truck like and more car-like. Innovative or not.
