LMAO @ "a wrench" ...

Nick, there should be a very small flat on the end of the stud...you should be able to locate it by feel.

I used a set of vise grips to clamp the stud while turning the nut.

You think it's hard getting them on, try getting them off a five year old truck after three years in the salty midwest!

Use a little grease and some blue loctite on the nut.
