Amber DRLs have been legal in Calif for a while. I think you might be mistaking DRLs with
parking light laws in Calif. Parking light
definition is different than
DRL definition. Parking lights are intended for use when vehicle is parked. DRLs are intended for use when vehicle is moving.
Color of lamp rules say forward light have to be white or yellow. You can't have
flashing amber lights.
