Default Re: fuel milage

I have 10,200 miles and My last Oil change I had sent out an oil sample to Blackstone labs for analysis.

The results indicated that I was still going through some final break-in on the engine. YOUR MPG should be its best after a complete engine break-in.

I noticed my MPG got consistenlty better from when it was new with 7 original miles.

For what it's worth I use only Mobil 1 FULLY synthetic Oil. Have for many, many years. I change my oil every 5k miles. Economy is always a tad better with any synthetic. But there are other advantages to using a synthetic oil.

I always use standard Dino oil till around 3k miles on any new engine. Just my preference. But yu can use it from day one as others do..
