Default Re: DIY: All NAV Functions All The Time without Firmware Downgrade!

Hi all. First time poster here. I've got a 2007 Tundra DC 4x4 Limited with factory Nav system and was similarly annoyed. After looking around and considering the options, I found wileetundra's solution and offer to build the speed pulse generator for you. I contacted him ordered it and it came last week. I had some extra time over Thanksgiving Holiday and just spent the last couple of hours installing it. Everything worked perfectly and I now have a fully functional nav system while driving.

The toughest part for me was just being comfortable taking apart the dash/nav unit for the first time. Once I got through that, it was simple.

A big thanks to wileetundra for this great mod and for being willing to spend the time to build/sell/ship the device to those of us who have forgotten most of our electrical engineering courses!

I'm now looking forward to trying several other of wileetundra's mod projects.

Cheers - Doug
