I bought a 76 Toyota Corona wagon in 1987 with 160K on the odometer for a commuter car. I paid $350 and parked it downtown where cars got broken into all the time. I never even locked it. It had a few bullet holes in it and someone had used a stud gun with about 20 studs (still sticking out) but never pulled out the dent. It was a baby poop ochre color and ran like a fine watch. The AC would freeze meat. I drove it without a single problem for over 3 years and sold it for $350. It never failed to start or stop. That was my only Toyota until the Highlander.
