Default Re: exhaust experiments

I've been researching and researching dual exhausts and been dead set that I was going to go that route.
But recently, I've heard the sound clips over and over on Edelbrock's website and am starting to warm up to a Dual In/Single out application. HOWEVER, they have only two choices for that SDT muffler. 2.25" in or 2.5" in BOTH with a 3" out.
My QUESTIONS:
I'm NOW looking at the 2.25" dual in/3" Single out, w/o a Resonator, with the Edelbrock SDT series muffler. I saw that 07Firecrew did that with the Series 70 Flowmaster......
1. What was the outcome?(NOT considering Noise because of the Edelbrock SDT design being less "droney" than the Flow)Tq loss? I saw you said there was a "lack of power".....

2. Do you need a resonator to adapt down from 3" to 2.5" or do muffler shops have "necked down" pipe sections they can use instead?

3. What is the size of the OEM muffler outlet pipe before the resonator and after the resonator???

THANKS FOR ALL YOUR INPUT!! I know there are a ton of threads I've read through......
