I just completed this, and what a pain. I got a 65mm metal flute wrench and it just slipped couldn't keep it on no matter how much force I applied and it was too late to get a smaller one. I measured the end cap and its 63mm, am I odd man out here with a smaller end cap then everyone else or what?
I ended up getting it off with large channel locks, that was a tight fit, it seems like everything is designed to perfectly get in the way of that.
